iDcare is Australia and New Zealand’s national identity & cyber support service.
While on placement at iDcare, myself and another USC student were tasked with creating an online tool allowing members of the community to
- Educate themselves about online security issues and the risk of identity theft
- Diagnose their level of exposure had they suffered an identity compromise and provide meaningful "next steps" to follow to mitigate any potential risk of misuse.
We would also need to style the tool in such a way that it would not look out of place on the new iDcare website being developed in parallel by an external partner.
While working on the tool itself, we were also approached to take over the design of the new iDcare website, with the two projects due to be launched in conjunction with one another. Working quickly within a tight deadline, we were able to finalise the development of the tool, build the required new web presence and integrate the two in time for launch.
Since being launched by the Minister assisting the Prime Minister for Cyber Security, iDcare's Cyber First Aid Kit and new web presence have garnered positive press from Government and industry alike.
